Eaglercraft Studio

Copyright / DMCA

This is the dedicated copyright and DMCA policy for Eaglercraft Studio. Use it to report skins, pages, or other material you believe infringes your copyright.

This page is provided in English, which is the official version.

How to file a complaint (process)

Use the copyright complaint form on this page (below). It collects the required notice fields, stores the report for review, and notifies our copyright inbox.

You may also email [email protected] with the subject line "Copyright / DMCA" and the same information. Operator / recipient: Best 86 Solutions.

After you submit: (1) you receive an on-page confirmation with a short reference id, (2) we review complete notices, (3) we may remove or disable access to reported material and may email you at the address you provided, (4) uploaders may receive a notice when we have contact details.

What a valid notice must include

The form requires these fields. If you email instead, include all of the following (aligned with typical DMCA / safe-harbor notice elements):

  • Your full legal name, mailing address, and a working email address (and phone number if available).
  • A description of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed (and a link to the original work if it is online).
  • The exact URL(s) on eaglercraft.studio where the allegedly infringing material appears.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
  • Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full legal name at the end of the email is acceptable).

How we process notices

We review complete notices in good faith. When a notice is valid and actionable, we remove or disable public access to the reported material, and we may notify the uploader or account holder when we have contact details.

Incomplete notices may delay action. We may ask for missing details before we can proceed.

We aim to acknowledge copyright emails within a few business days. Complex cases can take longer.

Mechanism to remove infringing content

We have an operational removal mechanism for skins, poses, and community servers. Only the site owner (operator accounts listed for admin access) can remove, hide, or restore published content — not community moderators or ordinary staff accounts.

  • Public reports: signed-in users use Report content on the item page; reports enter the admin queue for the owner to act on.
  • Copyright / DMCA notices: submit the form on this page or email us; the site owner removes or disables the listed URLs after review.
  • Owner removal: the owner can hide a specific skin id, pose slug, or server slug so the public page returns not found and the item is excluded from trending/related surfaces.
  • Restoration: if a counter-notice succeeds or a hide was a mistake, only the site owner can unhide/restore the item.
  • Pending community uploads (for example server listings) are reviewed before going live and can be rejected instead of published.

Moderation and audit records

We keep audit records for moderation actions on reported and reviewed resources. That includes user Report content submissions, copyright notices, hide/restore of skins, poses, and servers, and approve/reject decisions on community submissions.

Records typically include the action type, target identifier, actor (when available), timestamp, and optional notes. We retain them to support repeat-infringer decisions, counter-notice review, and internal compliance — not as a public log.

Counter-notification

If your material was removed or disabled and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to the same email with subject "Copyright counter-notice". Include:

  • Your name, address, and email (and phone if available).
  • Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal (URL).
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  • Consent to the jurisdiction of the courts for your address (or, if outside the United States, for an appropriate court where Best 86 Solutions may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.
  • Your physical or electronic signature (typed full legal name is acceptable).

Repeat infringers

We maintain a repeat-infringer policy. If the same account (or accounts we reasonably believe are controlled by the same person) is tied to multiple valid copyright takedowns, or keeps uploading infringing material after a warning, we treat that as repeat infringement.

Typical consequences escalate as follows. We may skip steps for severe or willful infringement:

  • First valid takedown tied to an account: remove or disable the infringing material; warn the account holder when we have contact details; may place the account under closer review for future uploads.
  • Second valid takedown (or clear continued infringement after a warning): remove the material; suspend upload / submit / publish privileges for a period we determine; may hide related pending submissions.
  • Third valid takedown, or a clear pattern of abuse: terminate (ban) the account; refuse further service; may block related accounts created to evade the ban.
  • Egregious cases (for example commercial-scale piracy, malware bundled with “skins,” or knowing redistribution of copyrighted game clients): may result in an immediate permanent ban without prior warnings.

How we apply repeat-infringer consequences

We decide whether someone is a repeat infringer based on valid notices, our own review, and the account history we have. A successful counter-notification that restores material is not counted as a strike against the uploader for that notice.

Consequences can include content removal, rejection of pending uploads, suspension of upload privileges, temporary locks, permanent account bans, and refusal of new accounts that appear to evade a prior ban.

Questions about a copyright enforcement action: email [email protected] with subject "Copyright enforcement" and the relevant URLs or report reference ids.

Misrepresentation

Knowingly submitting a false copyright notice or counter-notice can have legal consequences under applicable law (including the DMCA for U.S. claims). Only send notices you believe in good faith are accurate.

Trademarks and other rights

Minecraft, Mojang, Microsoft, and Eaglercraft names belong to their owners. Nominative use on this site is for identification only so players know where a skin file works.

Trademark or other IP complaints that are not copyright can use the same address ([email protected]) with a clear subject line such as "Trademark complaint".
