FAQ

Is this Minecraft banner and shield maker free to download?

Yes. Design banners and shields in the browser, download PNG or JSON for free, copy give commands, and follow loom steps — no account wall and no watermark.

Can I download Minecraft shield designs for free?

Yes. Switch Preview to Shield, pick a free template (medieval, Roman, Japanese, Chinese, wartime, emperors), customize it, then use Free download for a PNG. Craft the finished banner with a shield in-game to apply it.

What free banner and shield templates are included?

Medieval crosses and chevrons, Roman SPQR and legion crests, Japanese Hinomaru and clan mons, Chinese Ming/Qing and dragon seals, wartime roundels and camo, plus emperor purple/gold designs — all loom-legal and editable.

How many layers can I add?

The loom supports up to 6 pattern layers on both Java and Bedrock. That matches Survival crafting limits.

Java vs Bedrock — what changes?

Patterns and the 6-layer limit are the same for loom crafting. Commands differ: Java uses modern item components (or legacy NBT), while Bedrock uses its own give syntax. Globe is Java-only.

Do charge patterns need a banner pattern item?

Creeper, Skull, Flower, Mojang, Globe, Snout, Flow, and Guster need their banner pattern item in the loom’s third slot. The item is not consumed.

Can I save favorite Minecraft banner designs?

Yes. Use the heart control to save the current banner or shield on this device, then open the Favorites tab in the template gallery to load it again anytime.

A free Minecraft banner and shield maker lets you compose a base color plus up to six loom pattern layers, preview as a hanging banner or shield, download a PNG, and generate Java or Bedrock give commands plus Survival loom instructions. Eaglercraft Studio's tool runs in the browser with themed templates you can customize and download for free.
