Hi! Here's my interpretation of the historical building. Toruń was established by the Teutonic Order and used to have a castle. The only remaining part that you can still see in real life is the 'toilet' tower (pl. gdanisko). The historical appearance of the castle is almost certain as teutonic castles are very schematic even though the castle in Toruń was special - the only teutonic castle that wasn't rectangular. Its shape comes from the former wooden defensive structures.
