S.S. Skirmisher (1884-1908) - Cunard's Long-Serving Tender Tug
by Rilhon · 2026-09-04 · Maps

Hello there. This is my build of the S.S. Skirmisher, an 1884-built tugboat and tender operated by the Cunard Line. She is built in 1.8:1 scale and comes in three configurations: Her as-built appearance, her 1893-1907 config, and her 1908+ config. She has full interiors. Skirmisher was introduced in 1884, and was meant to serve the brand new RMS Umbria and Etruria as a passenger tender and tugboat, based in Liverpool. She would later go on to serve such ships as the RMS Campania & Lucania, RMS Lusitania & Mauretania, RMS Aquitania, and the RMS Queen Mary. Skirmisher was retired in 1945 and scrapped in 1947. Hope you enjoy! Special thanks to Alex for help with deck plans, photographs and other historical information! Alex: www.youtube.com/@anormalcommentor9452
