Age of Empires II - Wu Wonder "Jing'an Temple" preview

This structure is a replica of the Wu Wonder from the game Age of Empires II, rendered in the team color orange. The building is modeled after the " Jing'an Temple ", located in present-day PR China. As with all replicas, this one comes without an interior. A version with an interior will be added as seperat download later. History The temple’s origins date back to 247 AD, during the reign of the Eastern Wu Dynasty under its founder and king, Sun Quan. At that time, the complex was known as the Hudu Chongyuan Temple (沪渎重元寺) and was originally situated on the northern bank of the Wusong River (now known as the Suzhou River). During the Wu Dynasty, the temple held immense strategic and spiritual significance. This dynasty, which ruled over southern and eastern China, was an era when Buddhism was gaining increasing popularity and state support in southern China. The temple served as a vital religious center for consolidating the faith in the Jiangnan region. The area surrounding present-day Shanghai was not yet a global trade hub at the time; instead, it was characterized by a rural and maritime landscape. The temple's founding under Sun Quan sent a clear political and cultural signal
